It’s Tasha here! Welcome to “Recipes with Tasha”. One of my favorite foods to eat is granola, well that is after Holmes MouthWatering Original Applesauce. What I love about granola is that it can be sprinkled on almost anything! Or you can just nibble on it while you are on the go!
I found this awesome recipe for applesauce granola! I switched out the unsweetened applesauce for Holmes MouthWatering Orginal Flavored Applesauce! WOW! This is super tasty granola! Remember that our applesauce is packed with mouthwatering flavors. You might want to forgo the honey, depending on your taste preference. I left the honey in because I sure do have a sweet beak!
I wanted to thank Stephanie over at macaroniandcheesecake.com for helping me come up with a great applesauce recipe!

Are you ready to cook?
4 cups old fashioned oats
1/4 cup flaxseed meal
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (Holmes Original flavor)
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. organic, cold-pressed olive oil
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup dried fruit -optional
Preheat oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a medium bowl, combine the oats and flaxseed.
In a small, microwave-safe bowl, combine the applesauce, honey, olive oil,
cinnamon, and salt. Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 1 minute, stirring after 30 seconds, so the
mixture is warm.
Pour warm applesauce mixture over oat mixture and stir together.
Spread granola mixture evenly on a 9 x 13 baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper.
Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool completely. (Stir in dried fruit, if desired.)
Store in airtight container.
