Applesauce Blondies

Hi from the sky!

Today is gray for the end of May. But don’t fear, I’m going to help us add a little color into this day! I’m going to teach you how to make applesauce blondies! These no-bake bars are so soft and dense, full of fiber and free of gluten. The applesauce blondies are a bright bite for my beak and are sure to please your tongue!

I’d like to thank Arman @ thebigmansworld for sharing this recipe with me!

Note: I didn’t use nut butter in my applesauce blondies to keep them very low in fat. But adding some for richness (and protein!)  is an option.

Let’s grab a bowl and get started!

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour, sifted

  • 3/4 cup Holmes applesauce (any flavor!)*

  • 1/2 cup coconut palm sugar (can substitute any granulated sweetener if desired)

  • Cinnamon (optional)

  • 2 Tbsp – 1/4 cup nut butter of choice (optional)

  • Cinnamon/Coconut palm sugar, for dusting (optional)

  • Line a small baking tray with baking paper and set aside.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine your coconut flour and coconut palm sugar and mix well.

  • Add your applesauce and nut butter (if using it) and mix until a very thick batter is formed.

  • Transfer the batter to the lined baking tray, top with extra cinnamon and sugar and refrigerate for an hour or so, until it has firmed up slightly.

  • Cut into brownie-sized pieces
